1. 2020 Synaptic Cycles’ Fat-Tire Folding eBike
We rated this eBike number 1 due to the following reasons:
-
-
It’s PORTABLE due to its foldable mechanism installed on both the headset and on the frame. This means that you won’t need a bike rack if you’re planning on going to the beach or the mountains. This alone could save you a few hundred bucks right off the bat and the added bonus of this feature is that it takes up far less space in your garage.

-
-
Comfortable doesn’t even do justice to the amazing experience of this eBike. It comes with a set of 20 by 4.0 fat tires, a very plush saddle, and its adjustable seat and headset post.
-
We’re talking both AFFORDABLE and convenient! At $1549, you get a FULLY-BUILT and tuned-up eBike with the options for FREE delivery and pick up by appointment ONLY at our Dana Point location.
-
This folding eBike has a long 40-mile RANGE due to its powerful 750W Bafang motor.
-
It’s SAFE as a result of its buttery smooth throttle and pedal-assist modes, comfy fat tires which give it some added stability and puncture resistance, bright front and rear lights, and reliable hydraulic disc brakes.
-
It can ride on a number of various surfaces given that it’s equipped with 20” x 4” Tires in addition to mudguards in both the front as well as in the back allowing you to roll over sand, gravel, mud, grass, and concrete with no problem.
-
It comes with crisp Shimano shifters, a 275-pound weight capacity, and it goes up to 20 miles per hour.
-
Last but not least, it’s also available for rentals for as low as $20/ hour which will count towards your purchase price if you would like to try it out before you make a $1.5k commitment!

2. Aventon Pace 500
Our customers simply fall in love with our Aventon Pace 500 eBike fleet. They are light, superbly fast (clocking in at 28 mph), and climb hills with no problem whatsoever. They’re also equipped with a 500W brushless motor, hydraulic brakes, a 48V 11.6 Ah battery, throttle and pedal assist. This excellent eBike is fairly priced at $1399.
3. 2020 Synaptic Cycles’s eBike Cruiser
This eBike has all the bells and whistles of the 2020 Synaptic Cycles’ Fat-Tire Folding eBike plus a few extra features!
The Cruiser comes with the following:
-
-
26-inch fat tires compared to the 20-inch tires on our folding eBike.
-
A solid front suspension mechanism.
-
Some of the reasons why it’s ranked 3rd:
-
-
It weighs in at 77 lbs (which makes it 27 lbs heavier than the folding eBike) and since it does not have a folding mechanism, it is much less portable than our #1-rated eBike.
-
This eBike is also $100 more expensive than the folding one (Price: $1649).
-
4. Del Sol Railer Plus i/O 2021 vs. 2020 model
The 2020 model comes with the following features:
-
-
A light aluminum-alloy frame
-
A 350W motor
-
An Integrated rear cargo rack system
-
The Shimano Altus 7-speed drivetrain
-
26″ x 3″ tires giving it a great deal of stability
-
A cushy saddle
-
Upgrades made to the 2021 eBike model which we will have available as soon as this October:
-
-
A 750W Bafang Motor as opposed to the much weaker 350W motor on the 2020 version
-
A 48V, 14 Ah battery instead of the 36V, 14 Ah battery on the previous model.
-
An overall faster eBike with a longer range and quicker charging at the same price point ($1799).
